Mighty Vincent Baran
Day of Service
In just two years, a total of 783 volunteers performed 1,929 hours of service at more than 20 nonprofit organizations. Approximately 700 total people have participated in the Hudson Friends of the Poor Walk across both years, which raised approximately $25,000 for the Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
Vincent was named after Saint Vincent de Paul, the Catholic patron saint of the poor. In keeping with that legacy, the Baran family will be coordinating a day of service in the Cleveland/Akron area of Ohio every year on or around Saint Vincent de Paul’s feast day in September. The 3rd Annual Vincent William Baran Day of Service is set for Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023. During his years with us, Vincent Baran overflowed with joy, empathy, and a fierce passion for life. His family, all who knew him, and anyone inspired by his story can use this day of service to remember and honor Vincent’s life and legacy while helping those who live in the region surrounding his hometown.
